About
CCA is the chamber ensemble lidded and created by Keyla Orozco after the successful world premiere of the project CUBA GOES TAP, which took place in Amsterdam on March 22, 2015. More information about that performance here. This ensemble brings together Cuban, Dutch and international performers to promote Cuban music of all times and styles. The repertoire goes from original compositions to arrangements and recreations, presented in an unusual and innovative way. CCA has a flexible instrumental setting, which varies according to each project. It may appear in a form of a string quartet, a wind quintet, or a more "modern" ensemble such as the one at CUBA GOES TAP program (violin, piano, clarinet, percussion, and tap dancer). The members of CCA are carefully selected by Keyla Orozco, based on their performing quality, wiliness for exploring new paths, and their dedication and passion for what they do. The mixing of musicians and dancer from different cultures and professional backgrounds (classical, Jazz, improvisers), and the challenges offered by our repertoire, makes this a unique and enriching experience for each one of the performers and composers involved.
